Wellington Hackathon 2026

- WHO: Open to all high school aged (13-18) female and gender diverse youth!
Do you like to code? Love drawing and designing? Have a passion for positive impact? Or maybe you have a knack for pitching?
Engage in an exciting weekend where you’ll be working in a team to develop and pitch a digital solution to address the lack of female representation in technology — along with mentorship from women in the industry, speaker panels, and hands-on workshops. This is an opportunity for you to build valuable experience, skills, and connections to support you in wherever digital technologies takes you. (Plus, there’s free food, merch, and prizes up for grabs!)
No experience is required! Whether you’re already involved in digital technologies, want to learn more about it, or just want a fun weekend to meet new people and get inspired, we’d love to have you. All you need is a readiness to learn and get involved. This will be a great chance for you to learn more about and have a taste of what the technology field has to offer!

A: Nope! If you don't have a team, we'll assign you one - no stress at all.
A: Each day will run from 10am-6pm. So no early wakeups!
A: Not at all! We'll have awesome mentors there to support you, as well as workshops and materials to help you upskill. No coding experience needed.
